Die UCI Geschichte in Deutschland begann vor mehr als 25 Jahren: 1990 eröffnete das erste UCI Kino in Hürth bei Köln. Es war das erste moderne Multiplex-Kino auf dem europäischen Festland überhaupt und sollte die deutsche Kinolandschaft für immer verändern.
Im Mai 2018 eröffnete UCI seinen ersten IMAX Kinosaal im UCI Kino in Bochum. Aktuell betreibt UCI vier IMAX Kinosäle. Neben Bochum, im UCI Hamburg Wandsbek, UCI Düsseldorf und im UCI Luxe Mercedes Platz.
Im Juli 2018 eröffnete UCI sein erstes UCI Luxe Kino in Nordhorn. Im November 2018 folgte das neue Flaggschiff, das UCI Luxe Mercedes Platz. Auch die Kinos Potsdam und Gropius Passagen wurden zu Luxuskinos umgebaut und sind seit Ende 2018 UCI Luxe Kinos.
