Ahmer is a rapper and music producer from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Ahmer began making music at a very young age, with early inspirations being 50 Cent, Eminem, 2Pac, and more. In 2019, Ahmer released his debut album in collaboration with Sez on the Beat to critical acclaim. Projects like 'Azli' (awarded best hip-hop album of the year by Indian Music Diaries) have set a benchmark for albums in DHH, pushing the norms and taking a deep dive in story-telling with a solid body of work. Ahmer has been an influential figure back home in Kashmir; he has helped shape the community and the hip-hop scene in the valley, forming a collective called Koshur Nizam with some of the best artists from the valley. He has inspired many young and talented artists from the region who want to pursue their dreams and make them big.
