About LongfellowChorus

The Longfellow Chorus was founded in 2007 as a Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Bicentennial organization with a mission to organize and maintain a chorus to perform and record vocal and choral settings of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poetry, written from 1840 to the present, to inspire and commission new vocal and choral settings of Longfellow's poetry, and to perform choral music of the Romantic and immediate post-Romantic eras, ca. 1825--1920.

Since then, the yearly Longfellow Choral Festival has brought attention to neglected Longfellow cantatas by major Victorian composers, such as Franz Liszt, Edward Elgar, Arthur Sullivan and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. The annual Longfellow Chorus International Composers Competition has premiered dozens of new Longfellow cantatas, choruses and solo songs submitted by composers from around the world.

FAQ

The page combines cached API data and fast refresh polling to stay responsive while still tracking changes closely. Exact public YouTube counts can lag, but the page updates far more frequently than the default channel view.

The chart appends new subscriber readings every few seconds. That gives you a rolling growth trace instead of a static count snapshot.
