Phony Persephone

For those wondering about my channel name, I thought of it when considering the false, "phony" gods of ancient days, and how some of the modern elite still worship similar gods. Persephone was a goddess believed to have power over nature and growth, as well as later becoming queen of the underworld. With these contrasting aspects, she represents duality, which provides a fitting connection to the topic I cover here, as gender-inversion and androgyny are all about duality. To me, the name represents death and awakening simultaneously, being symbolic of the moment when we wake up from our brainwashing, our past selves die, and we begin to see the world as it really is. Then, given that there's a sort of homophone or pun to be found in the final two syllables of Persephone and phony, I put the two together to convey that the elite deception springs from false beliefs, and to send the message that we can still be lighthearted and of good humour despite what is being done all around us.
