推广华文学习委员会成立于2005年，其宗旨是为学生营造一个学习与应用华文的大环境、争取华社对华文教学改革的支持以及加强学校、社区组织和媒体之间的合作。多年以来，委员会致力于举办多元化的活动，包括以下主要旗舰项目：文化随意门、 世界书香日暨文学四月天、驻校作家计划、“与声剧来”中文广播剧创作比赛及工作坊、“新空下”全国学生新谣音乐节、“娃娃游园乐”计划、学前华文教学研讨会、母语学习论坛。

CPCLL aims to garner the support of the community to support the learning of Chinese language and to facilitate a continuous process of collaboration between schools, community organisations and the media to create an environment for promoting the use of CL beyond schools. Since its formation in 2005, CPCLL has actively organised engaging and interactive activities to enthuse students and develop in them an abiding interest in CL and culture. Signature programmes include Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme, World Book Day & Literature Under the April Sky, Author-in-Residence, "Script It Right" Chinese Radio Drama Script Writing Competition, "Xin Kong Xia" National Schools Xinyao Festival, Wow Wild Learn, Seminar for Pre-school Chinese Language Teachers, Mother Tongue Languages Symposium.
