I am Bisrat Surafel an award-winning Ethiopian singer and songwriter known for tracks like “Yebet Sira”, “Godanaw” and “Atenekuat”. His musical journey has been a keen interest for many of his fans, especially since he spent 7 years working on his debut solo album Kal Bekal, which finally dropped in 2018. Bisrat makes his debut on Coke Studio Africa’s 2019 edition to collaborate with Kenyan singer Moji Shortbabaa – and they are paired with Kenyan producer Magic Mike.CAREERBisrat came to the fore in 2016 following the release of his mega hit “Weta Fikir”. With a growing fan base, he went on to release a collaborative album “Mengedegna” that preceded his solo debut.
