Earlier 2022, Maxwell captured the #1 slot on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay Chart for his latest single "OFF", marking the R&B star's 8th # 1 Billboard Adult R&B Airplay single & 15th T10 hit throughout his illustrious career, further heightening anticipation for his forthcoming album, blacksummers'NIGHT. The soul singer redefined soul music April 1996 when he released his critically acclaimed debut on Columbia, Urban Hang Suite earning Grammy noms, 2X platinum status and RIAA gold for the single, "Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)."
