Sohamasmi Centre for Performing Arts

Sohamasmi Centre for Performing arts was started by Monica Singh Sangwan in 2003 in India. It is now a registered non-profit organization in Melbourne, Australia since 2010.

The organization is committed to promoting, supporting and conducting pedagogical intensives and performances of Odissi dance in Australia and India. The Centre is working towards providing affordable art to the community by bringing highly skilled artists into an intimate performing space.

The Sohamasmi Group is a professional Odissi dance troupe consisting of dancers from varied cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds who are locally trained in Australia.
