About WGD VT

Virginia Tech's Women and Girls in International Development (WGD) program work towards gender equality in development by promoting gender sensitivity in every project managed by Virginia Tech's Center for International, Research, Education, and Development (CIRED) and ensuring that women benefit. We believe that development is achieved most effectively when it is inclusive, equitable, and based on the priorities of local groups. As a learning community and academic resource, we seek to build capacity to address gender disparities in the areas of agriculture, natural resource management, education, food security, health and nutrition, and water.

The Women and Gender in Development Conference creates an environment where students, early career faculty, practitioners, and extension professionals are able to learn from gender experts and international agriculture experts promoting inclusive agriculture and rural development.

The chart appends new subscriber readings every few seconds. That gives you a rolling growth trace instead of a static count snapshot.
