National Dance Ensemble ROMIOSINI

NATIONAL DANCE ENSEMBLE "ROMIOSINI" WAS FOUNDED IN CYPRUS AT 1996 BY NEKTARIOS TOURSIDIS.

Art Director and Chief Choreographer of the ensemble since 2011 until the present moment is his son Agis Toursidis

The ensemble is performing national dances of Georgia and Greece in unique choreography. It has two different performance programs:

- The folkloric program of 1,5 hours with 18 dances,

- The "300 SPARTANS", a folklore based dance show of 1 hour reliving on stage the historical battle of Thermopyles.

In the full show 80 dancers are performing.

The dancers of "Romiosini' are graduate students of the ensembles dancing academy, where they are studying georgian ballet and greek dances for 5 years prior to start participating at the concerts.

Our ensemble is the winner of many international events and competitions with the most recent 1-st prize awards in 4 nominations at the Spanish Open Dance Festival 2018. It has a large geography of concerts in Mediterranean Region and Russia.
