Detroit emcee Valid, mentored by Grammy Award-winning DJ Head, is known as one of the city’s most authentic voices. His debut album Mihajlo and The Plum Brandy EP gained international attention—especially in Eastern and Southern Europe—and earned SiriusXM spins from DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, and Tony Touch.
In 2023, Valid teamed up with Detroit legend Stretch Money as Bill & Isiah, earning national college radio success, a Shade45 freestyle, and performances alongside Xzibit, Tha Dogg Pound, and 8Ball & MJG.
2024 marked a breakout year with the release of Peach Brandy, an appearance in the Detroit Tigers City Connect campaign, an international festival debut with Arrested Development, and his own Eastern European tour. That year, he also collaborated with WWE star Ethan Page on “Child’s Play.”
In 2025, his single “Joy Ride” was featured in the hit film Code 3.
Detroit-born with global reach, Valid continues to stand out as one of the city’s most compelling artists.
