Colin Jones is an Australian-American songwriter and film producer whose work blends genres and styles of past and present. Combining these creative mediums, jones’ work explores the fluidity of memory and how we reflect on the past.

After relocating from Australia to California in 2016, Jones spent much of the following years writing new material and completing the final touches on his 2020 Neo-blues EP, Mama Don’t Weep.

Following the grassroots success of Mama Don’t Weep during the 2020 pandemic, Jones’ has been hard at work in his California studio writing, recording, and self-producing his debut full-length album while also directing a video series to accompany it. Drawing on classic country, early rock & roll, and contemporary alternative artists, Jones’ artistic vision is a dynamic progression of his influences, resulting in Jones’ most sonically diverse and thematically poignant work yet. Described by Jones as a subversion of form and genre, the record embraces the duality of glitz and glamour in Southern California and the broken promise of the “American Dream”.
