Ashaki is the product whenever social justice intersects with Hip-Hop. Ashaki is a black transgender woman who has persevered through her share of oppression. These experiences certainly helped mold her into the unapologetic, in-your-face, lyrical, hip hop social justice warrior that we know today. Ashaki has never shied away from uncomfortable topics. Her lyrical content consists of police brutality, the corrupt justice system, racism, misogyny, women and trans empowerment, sexual empowerment, and body positivity.
