The Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) is the overarching advanced technology research body in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The Council was established to shape a research and development ecosystem to drive transformative technology outcomes.

ATRC objectives:

• Position Abu Dhabi as a world-leading R&D hub

• Create a dynamic R&D ecosystem that solves tomorrow’s challenges today

• Attract national research talent

• Contribute to Abu Dhabi’s knowledge economy

• Build synergies locally and globally to strengthen social & economic impact

ATRC’s two entities include:

• The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) that focuses on applied research and building advanced technology capabilities.

• ASPIRE, the technology programme management pillar that ensures a clear innovation path from ‘lab to market’.
