About National Institute of Dramatic Art - NIDA

The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia’s leading performing arts educator. Our main campus is in Sydney (Kensington, NSW) and we have studios in Melbourne (Southbank).

We offer an unmatched range and depth of industry-relevant training across performing arts disciplines including acting, costume, cultural leadership, design, directing, live production, make-up, musical theatre, props, set construction, stage management, technical theatre and writing.

We also make our training available to the public with term classes, short courses face-to-face and online, school-holiday programs, evening and weekend classes. Our NIDA Open programs are designed for young people (grades 7 - 12) and adults and we also run Corporate Training for business professionals.
