uHoo was founded by two friends, Dustin and Brian, who both share a passion for technology, health, and the environment.

Both of them shared similar experiences with chronic respiratory conditions -- Dustin had been dealing with allergic rhinitis for most of his life while Brian was asthmatic. Because these common respiratory ailments are triggered by the air quality, especially indoors, they went on to build an air quality sensor for personal use to help identify allergens and other factors that contribute to the poor air around them. They soon discovered that their passion for overall health and wellbeing could be shared with the world, as asthma alone affected more than 300 million people globally in 2016.
