Department of Information Technology (DoIT)of Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli was established in the year 2000. Department offers B.Tech(IT), M.Tech(IT) Courses.

The mission is accomplished by a commitment to the standards of quality in the areas of teaching, research, counseling and service. The Department had produced Six University I rank holders (Gold Medal) and 30 university rank holders.

The Department is committed to provide technical education in the field of Information Technology to future technocrats and software professionals through programmed teaching and hands on training with state of art implements. DoIT provides specialised training with the applied labs in trending fields such as Data science lab and Cyberforensics Lab. The Students are imparted skill training in Ethical hacking, Cyberforensics, Data science, Arduino programming and IoT, Python programming with well established lab.
