Hey there! Welcome to explod on youtube.

This channel is dedicated to chiptune-era video game music. I am uploading complete soundtracks with the intent to celebrate this music and appreciate the peculiar sound synthesis and hardware involved.

I am uploading selections that I rip and prepare myself-- there are no "official" soundtracks here. This allows me to share titles that never had OSTs released, as well as avoid CD releases with post-production untrue to the systems' sound quality.

I also try to keep everything as easy to browse and navigate for the viewer as possible! Annotated links are included to skip through tracks in order.

Download links are typically in the video information for 'track 1' of each soundtrack. If it's available in FLAC and MP3, that means it was sampled from hardware. Let me know if anything is missing, I still haven't updated all of my older uploads yet...
