About Laal Pakistan

Laal (Red) is Pakistan's most prominent socialist pop group. Led by Comrade Dr. Taimur Rahman (as lead guitarist and lead vocalist), himself a senior leader in the Mazdoor (Workers) Kissan (Peasants) Party, it considers itself to be a part of the Progressive Writer's Movement that saw the rise of Socialist icons as Faiz Ahmed Faiz and the "People's Poet" Habib Jalib.

In 2008, while making his documentary "Democracy in Flames" independent film maker Taimur Khan used Laal's cover of Habib Jalib's poem "Musheer" (Advisor). That song titled "May Nay Uss Say Yeh Kaha" (This Is What I said To Him) became a viral hit on YouTube. Geo Entertainment, Pakistan's largest private TV network, decided to launch Laal's debut album "Umeed-e-Sehar" (The Hope of Dawn) in Pakistan through it's record label Fire Records in 2009 which went on to become a national hit.

In 2012, Laal in collaboration with Times Music India launched their second studio album 'Utho Meri Dunya' (Awaken, My World!).

FAQ

The page combines cached API data and fast refresh polling to stay responsive while still tracking changes closely. Exact public YouTube counts can lag, but the page updates far more frequently than the default channel view.

The chart appends new subscriber readings every few seconds. That gives you a rolling growth trace instead of a static count snapshot.
