Michael Martin Murphey

Michael Martin Murphey is a singer-songwriter who has achieved great success in various genres, including pop, country, bluegrass, and Americana. He is renowned for his 1975 hit "Wildfire" and has released over thirty albums, including the popular Cowboy Songs series. Murph played a significant role in the formation and development of the Texas Music Scene in the 1970s in Austin. His most recent release is Road Beyond the View with Ryan Murphey, a collection of songs inspired by their shared love of the outdoors and passion for the American West. Murph is also an accomplished author, rancher, and environmentalist and has received many honors and awards, including inductions into the Texas Songwriters HOF and The National Cowboy Hall of Great Westerners.
