La cantora y compositora Renee Goust busca visibilizar a grupos subrepresentados en la música mexicana. Sus canciones "La cumbia feminazi" y "Querida muerte (No Nos Maten)" son himnos feministas en América Latina. Se ha presentado en el Lincoln Center, el Museo Guggenheim en Nueva York, El Cantoral y El Zócalo en la Ciudad de México, por nombrar algunos. Su activismo ha colaborado con la ONU, Amnistía Internacional y la Women's Strike de Nueva York. Goust ha creado música original para películas internacionales y producciones teatrales. En 2021 y 2024, recibió la beca New York City’s Women’s Fund de la New York Foundation for the Arts. En 2022, fue nombrada Embajadora Cultural de los Estados Unidos y en 2023, representó a su estado natal de Sonora en el reconocido Festival Internacional Cervantino en Guanajuato, México. Ha publicado 2 EP's, 2 LP's y actualmente está promoviendo sencillos de su tercer EP, "Mi venganza es sonreír".
