About Imbak Canyon Conservation Area

The Imbak Canyon Conservation Area was gazetted as a Class 1 (Protection) Forest Reserve by the Sabah state government in 2009. The Area is managed by Yayasan Sabah by virtue of the Forest (Imbak Canyon Conservation Area) Rules 2010.

Imbak Canyon Conservation Area, situated in the central part of Sabah, north of Maliau Basin Conservation Area, and west of Danum Valley Conservation Area. Located 300 kilometers from the city of Kota Kinabalu and accessible via Ranau/Telupid or Tawau.
