About Margarida Carvalho

Margarida Carvalho nasceu em Braga, onde iniciou em 1999 o seu percurso enquanto actriz com o Sindicato de Poesia. Trabalhou com o Teatro Aquilo na Guarda, de 2000 a 2001. Nesse mesmo ano inicia o curso de Teatro na Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo no Porto, que termina em 2005. Desde aí trabalhou essencialmente em teatro, com a Panmixia sob a direcção de José Carretas.

Em cinema destaca o filme "Veneno Cura" da realizadora Raquel Freire, do qual foi uma das protagonistas e que lhe valeu em 2010 o Prémio Autores RTP/SPA de Melhor Actriz de Cinema e a nomeação para os Globos de Ouro na mesma categoria.
