The Chain of Narration, الإسناد. The Chain of the Muslim scholars, who were given the job of memorising the hadiths and the actions of the Prophet عليه الصلاة والسلام. Every person who was a part of the chain, had gone through many tests, to make sure they would not change what they had learnt. The test of honesty, memory, a good heart, and many other tests. الإسناد is one of the most important things in Islam. If even one word had been changed the interpretations of the meanings would have been completely different.
