Hi, my name is Tobias, born in 1990 and I am from Germany.

This channel once began with the intend to upload all the DooM and DooM II songs in OPL format.

What? "OPL"? OPL is the term for a series of FM synthesizers by Yamaha. It defined the 80s. The DX7, their digital FM keyboard has been used in many songs. Even today, the "cold, metallic" sound of this synthesizer can be heard in new productions. I guess it was that success what spawned the OPL and OPN series. The YM3812 (OPL2) and its sister chip, the YM2612 (OPN) were built-on on many soundcards - the so-called AdLib and SoundBlaster cards, only to mention the most famous ones. The OPN found its way in the MegaDrive/Genesis console.

We played DooM 2 on a Soundblaster in 1995 and it was that sound that learnt me to fear - and love - DooM.

Apart from that, I showcase some bugs, glitches and crashes as well as random stuff like mods and maps.
