About Mahbubur Rahman Tunu
Mahbubur Rahman Tunu is a popular Reciter & poet of Bangladesh. He was born in Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram district. Tunu began writing poetry in 2007 and started formal recitation practice in 2011 at Kathok Abritti Chorcha Kendra, in Nageshwari, Kurigram.
After moving to Dhaka in 2015, he participated in several workshops focused on recitation. In pursuit of uninterrupted dedication to poetry and recitation, he resigned from his job in 2023.
His first solo recitation event, "Ure Jai Bishonno Megh" was held on October 27, 2023, at the World Literature Center in Dhaka. Later, on January 19, 2024, he performed in a duet recitation program titled "Dujone Kujone Kobitay" with Dilara Nahar Babu.
On September 18, 2024, he founded "Bunoful Bachik Bidyaloy", an institute dedicated to teaching standard pronunciation and the art of recitation, which he continues to run personally.
His first poetry book, titled "Kolahal Theme Geche" was published at the 2024 Ekushey Book Fair.
