Welcome to A Log Cabin Lifestyle. This is not a set or a weekend retreat — this is my full-time home.

My name is Jerry Tyson, and I live in an 1800s-style log cabin that I hand built myself on land I’ve called home since I was 16 years old. I raised my children here, and my daughter still lives with me today. Long before the cabin was built in 2020, this land was already home.

I live a simple life rooted in faith, tradition, and self-reliance. I am a servant of God, and my faith guides everything I do. Much of my life is lived quietly with my golden retriever Lavender by my side, but community matters deeply to me. In Lisbon, Ohio, I proudly serve as Johnny Appleseed for my hometown.

On this channel I share wood-fired cooking, antique stoves, storm preparation, traditional skills, and life lived with the seasons. Many viewers tell me these videos bring back memories of their childhood. I treasure those stories, and you’re always welcome to share them here.
