About Flamboyant Folk Dancers

The Flamboyant Folk Dancers group was launched in July 2005, governed by 7 executive members. The group comprises of junior and senior members. Why the name Flamboyant Folk Dancers?, - During a dress rehearsal, one of our members walked into the room, impressed! he said "you look like a Flamboyant tree in bloom!" From this day forth, the name The Flamboyant Folk Dancers was choosen!

Motto: Unite to achieve

Mission: The aim is to preserve the authentic original indigenous version of the traditional Folk/Quadrille dance, To present a variety of dances of the region at a professional level. To develop an attitude that reflects the qualities of hard work, dedication, punctuality and respect.

As a group to have a form of recreation, exercise, and socializing. To inspire, teach, and help the youth with their way forward.

The term “Folk Dance” is used to describe a wide variety of Folk dances.
