From "I Like It" and "Crazy things" we fast foward to Sammie graduating from West Orange High School in 2005. A year later, Dallas Austin signed him to his reactivated Rowdy label and released Sammie's self-titled album. The album has top producers like Dallas Austin, Jazze Pha, and Bryan-Michael Cox. The album's first single, "You Should Be My Girl" hit the charts and became a Top 30 R&B hit. The album hit the Top 45 of the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart. Also released was the single "Come With Me", a slow song produced by Bryan-Michael Cox.

Now owning his own record label, Star Camp Musick, Sammie is currently in the studio working on his 3rd album titled "Coming of Age".
