Thành lập vào 1984, Def Jam Recordings lấy cảm hứng từ văn hóa đường phố Hip-hop, đi tiên phong bởi những hình tượng của LL Cool J, Slick Rick, The Beastie Boys và Public Enemy; sau đó là Jay-Z, DMX, Ja Rule, Method Man & Redman, Ludacris, Rihanna, Jeezy và Kanye West. Với sứ mệnh phát triển âm nhạc và nuôi dưỡng tài năng trẻ tại Việt Nam, cùng với các nghệ sĩ độc quyền như 24k.Right, Mason Nguyễn,... còn nhiều điều phía trước mà Def Jam Vietnam phải chinh phục.

Founded in 1984, Def Jam Recordings draws inspiration from the Hip-hop street culture, spearheaded by iconic figures such as LL Cool J, Slick Rick, The Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy. Later on, artists like Jay-Z, DMX, Ja Rule, Method Man & Redman, Ludacris, Rihanna, Jeezy, and Kanye West joined the roster. With a mission to develop music and nurture young talent in Vietnam, along with exclusive artists like 24K.Right and Mason Nguyen, Def Jam Vietnam has many exciting challenges ahead to conquer.
