Irina Rimes - Topic

Born and raised in the Republic of Moldova, Irina started singing ever since she was a child.

After taking part in the Moldova Star Factory competition, the artist decided to move to Bucharest. Irina became aware of her innate talent for composing, leading her to write her own songs and truly reveal herself to the public.

Her debut single, “Visele”, climbed it’s way up to #1 in all mainstream tops in Romania. Moreover, the track kept its #1 position for months, thus becoming the anthem of that summer.

Irina Rimes is also the first artist in Romania to write a musical trilogy: “Iubiri Secrete”. It was released in 2016 and comprised of three tracks: “Iubirea Noastra Muta”, “Da Ce Tu” and “Haina Ta”. Besides writing and performing her own songs, the artist also writes for other well-known artists in Romania such as INNA, Antonia and Andra.

In 2017, she released her first album, “Despre El”. Based on Irina’s personal stories, feeling and emotions, the album features 10 tracks that are further finalised with a short film.

Irina Rimes' second studio album, entitled “Cosmos”, was released on 10 December 2018 under the umbrella of Global Records and Quantum Music. As with her first album, all twelve songs on “Cosmos” were written by Irina. The album was released along with a book with the same name and contains a series of poems written by Irina. The releasease of followed by a national tour entitled „Cosmos”.
