Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS)

ICAS is a premier institution of Vedic Astrology. Started in 1984, by Dr. B. V. Raman. Dr B V Raman is considered as the 20th century Varahamihira. He translated many classics and wrote many books in English.

At present, Prof. A. B. Shukla, IAS (Retd.) is Hon. Nat'l President. ICAS regularly conducts courses, examinations and awards titles of Jyotisha Praveena, Jyotisha Visharada, Vastu Praveena, Vastu Acharya, Hasta Rekha Praveena, Hasta Rekha Visharada, Nãdi Praveena, Nãdi Visharada, Nakshatra Praveena and Nakshatra Visharada at more than 60 Chapters/Centres spread all over India.

The research program of ICAS leads to the title of Jyotisha Bhushan. Examinations are conducted twice a year – June and December, by the Office of Controller of Examinations (CoE-ICAS). The professionally qualified faculty of ICAS strives to take Jyotisha and the allied subjects away from superstition and put it on a scientific pedestal.
