Karwan-e-Urdu Qatar was founded in January 2016 by a prominent poet of the modern era, Ateeq Anzar with the collaboration of his skilled and Urdu loving friends. One of its characteristicsis that, all of its members are very knowledgeable, skilled and graduates from the prominent and famous Universities of India. They love Urdu literature and have expertise in poetry, writing and translations. Some of them are translators and writers with books to their credit, while some are engaged in the domain of journalism. It is a good sign of this organization that it possess such a high profile personalities.

Inauguration Ceremony: Karwan-e-Urdu Qatar was formally inaugurated by India's famous politician Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi at the residence of Karwan General Secretary Shahid Khan on 22nd May 2016. In his short message, he expressed his best wishes and a bright future for Karwan.
