About NÔ BISSAU
A Guiné-Bissau tem uma superfície de 36120 km2 e cerca de 1 700 000 habitantes de composição multi-étnica.
A capital é a cidade de Bissau (cerca de 450000 habitantes). As outras cidades importantes são Bafatá, Gabú, Mansoa, Cacheu, Bolama, Bubaque, Canchungo e São Domingos.
O território é essencialmente plano, pantanoso na orla marítima e atravessado por vários rios e cursos de água, com vegetação exuberante e de tipo tropical. A altitude máxima é de cerca de 300 m (colinas do Boé) junto à fronteira leste com a Guiné-Conakry.
A Guiné-Bissau tem fronteira com a Guiné-Conakry e o Senegal. A primeira, por via terrestre está momentaneamente encerrada, no quadro das medidas tomadas pelo governo para prevenir a entrada da epidemia da Ébola no país.
