COLD Music is a sister to COLD Media. It is a label and business venture. Profit is not the motive. The goal is to build a structure that allows talent to exist without exploitation. Often times specific genres glorify the results of failed United States policy meant to control black, brown and native populations. The motive is artist empowerment with an overriding goal to represent change and recognition of the rebranded slave institution that exist in ever large black and brown population across the United States but also includes non minority populations that are now caught up in the successful corporate experimentation of the late 1970's and 1980's. We need a platform that is independent of pure capitalism. The same capitalism that allowed chattel slavery to be the foundation of the real life monopoly board that we call the United States of America.
